Inappropriate Thoughts 22: Electric Boogaloo
Taken in a Macy's in a mall in New Jersey.
Isn't it strange how jeans look so much better when they're worn out and discolored? My parents got me two very new looking pairs of very unfaded blue jeans, and they frankly look just ridiculous. But, then there's the other extreme:
Faded is cool and all, but me, I can't really see the attraction of the crotch-whisker look.

It looks like they're the Jeanstar brand that they carry. For some reason, the Jeanstar jeans at Macy's have a tendency to be over-distressed. There was this great pair of black ones that had appliqued flowers on the hip, but they were so distressed/holey I had to pass them up. A little fading through the legs is fine, but holes and a brown coloration to the distressed areas is just gross, and if I wanted dirty holey jeans, I'd be shopping for them at the thrift store, not paying top dollar for them at Macy's.
